They have invulnerability when hiding in the shield they have. Shell – Shells are going to be those types of enemies who will have to be baited out with an attack to destroy. Cyclones are red and black, creating lightning tornadoes and having strong defensive capabilities. You essentially have to burst the protective bubbles to get to the enemy’s core and destroy it that way.Ĭyclone – This is one of the more new complicated enemies that will require more than your traditional attacks to pepper down. These enemies are reminiscent of the MotoBug enemies from previous entries in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, but with a twist.īubble – The Bubble is reminiscent of the Egg Bouncer boss from Sonic 2. If they are within a certain distance and notice Sonic, they will charge at him. All New Enemies So Far in Sonic Frontiers So, here are all the new enemies we know about in Sonic Frontiers. There will be familiar faces along the way, but with every new actual iteration of the franchise, there are new faces and enemies to combat to get to your goal. Like several other gigantic enemies in Sonic Frontiers, you may need to wait for them to actually try and attack you: then run up one of their appendages. Naturally, you’ll be fighting a lot of Guardians, including the Asura type, which are coincidentally the “first real miniboss” you’ll encounter at the start of the first island: after the tutorial miniboss. Guardians will serve as said minibosses, who generally grant players with gears that you can then use to unlock Cyber Space levels (which provide vault keys for Chaos Emeralds). They’re the first miniboss you’ll find in Sonic Frontiersįor the most part, Sonic Frontiers enemies can be broken down into three silos: big bosses at the end of an island/area, minibosses, and regular enemies.
